What is Play Osmo?
Play Osmo is a compilation of super fun interactive educational games you can play on your iPad or Fire tablet. Simply place your tablet on the Osmo base, secure the special reflector over your tablet camera. Then use the mat and physical game pieces to play digital games. You can draw, code, spell, and more! We love Play Osmo in our house because it allows my kids to have screen time that is both fun and educational.

The Coding Starter Kit includes 31 tangible coding blocks that are colorful and magnetic. They are stackable for storage. You can also change the direction of the coding blocks by gently turning them in the direction you like the character to go.
Coding Awbie is the easiest way to teach your kids to code. It is designed for children ages 5-10. Coding Awbie is a game that guides a cute Osmo Character, Awbie, through a forest map chasing bunnies, collecting strawberries (my 5 year old’s favorite), and gathering wood that can be used to build a campsite. By putting different coding and number pieces together, kids are able to move Awbie through the obstacles.
My Kids’ Reaction
My kids find this game fun and engaging. There is something about using tangible blocks to interact with their digital screen that kids love.
Coding Awbie has a ton of fun graphics that attract my kids’ attention and provides enough challenge that kids of all ages want to play.
