Play Osmo Pizza Co. Game Play and Review

What is Play Osmo?

Play Osmo is a compilation of super fun interactive educational games you can play on your iPad or Fire tablet. Simply place your tablet on the Osmo base, secure the special reflector over your tablet camera. Then use the mat and physical game pieces to play digital games. You can draw, code, spell, and more! We love Play Osmo in our house because it makes learning fun.

I no longer feel guilty that my kids are having screen time, because we made a conscious decision to make it educational with Play Osmo.

Play Osmo Pizza Co.

Make pizza, make change, and make profits when you run your very own pizza shop! The Pizza Co. Starter Kit includes a pizza tray, toppings, and money tiles. Kids learn basic business concept, mental math, and even non-verbal communication skills (e.g., see if the customers are happy with their orders).

The suggested age range is for kids ages 5-12. This has been the perfect game for my kids who are 5 and 2 years old. My 5 year old made the pizza and gave change back to the customers, while my 2 year old sort the pizza toppings. They enjoy seeing if the customers were happy with the pizzas that they made.

How do we like it?

We really like playing the Play Osmo Pizza Co. game. Even I join in at times! We particularly like to earn stars for reaching our goals in the game. It gave us something to work towards (e.g., putting $500 in the bank, buy a new oven, etc.).

Most importantly, both of my kids were able to play and work together.  They divided the work based on their abilities.

Cost

Normally the Play Osmo Pizza Co. costs $49.00. Currently, Play Osmo is running a sale and this game is 30% off and is now $34.30! Please note that the base and reflector are sold separately for $39.
